Write letters to your loved ones in Heaven, pen down your regrets and thoughts that you never get to tell them when they are still around.

Pen your thoughts, move forward.

Many people tend to overlook their psychological well-being, or simply do not wish to face it when something happens. Everyone needs to heal as time passes, as one day, memories will fade. However, it can be easily triggered sometimes when something relatable happens, even if it is very small.

Some may choose to talk to their loved ones, spend time alone by doing their favourite activity or speak to a professional. Opening up to someone else is never easy – writing is one of the best ways for you to express your thoughts and feelings.

How to start?

  1. Write down snippets of ideas, even short sentences or bullet points. With records, there are traces to follow, which can be further stripped in the future.
  2. Gather your concentration, focus on one thing or a feeling as the main topic to get inspiration from. You may wish to start from something lighter and progress from there.
  3. Once you are unable to continue writing, pause and affirm yourself, or seek professional help.

Writing Format

  1. Keep a diary – by writing down your feelings to find out the root cause.
  2. Writing a poem – using childhood memories as a starting point to be inspired.
  3. Writing a letter – write to a specific person, you will be able to understand the thoughts and feeling you have for this person.
